Dabra Secure Email Network

Personal Firewall Configuration

Personal firewall software, such as Norton Internet Security, is designed to protect personal computers by detecting and preventing potential inappropriate use of the internet by applications installed on the computer.

However, when applications require legitimate use of the internet these firewall solutions can prevent the application from functioning properly by refusing to allow them to access the internet resources that they require.

In most cases when an application attempts to use the internet the firewall software will inform the user and assess the risk, and require the user to allow or block that application’s access to the internet. If the user selects the wrong choice, the application will not function properly.

This document will show how to configure the Norton Internet Security software to allow Dabra to access the Dabra service.
