Automatic Configuration During Installation

Most personal firewalls will inform you when an application is attempting to use the internet and ask if you want to allow or block it. With McAfee Personal Firewall Plus this request occurs during the Dabra installation by showing the following popup.

If at this time you select Grant Access from the list the McAfee Personal Firewall Plus software will configure itself to allow Dabra access to the internet. You will never be prompted again, and the Dabra software will function as intended.

Manual Configuration of the Personal Firewall

If McAfee Personal Firewall Plus was not auto-configured during the installation of Dabra, you can configure it manually to allow Dabra to access the internet.

Launch the McAfee Personal Firewall Plus control panel:
Start > All Programs > McAfee > McAfee Security Center
Click on the icon labelled Personal Firewall Plus.

Under the I want to... section, click on the View the Internet Applications List label to show a list of all applications that McAfee is aware of.

To add Dabra to the list of applications click on the New Allowed Application label. This opens a screen that asks you to locate the application that you want to add. Use the Select Application to Allow dialog to locate the Dabra application at:

C:\Program Files\Obvious\Dabra\Bin\DabraAdmin.exe

Once you have selected that DabraAdmin.exe file, McAfee Personal Firewall Plus will redisplay the list of applications that it recognizes. Dabra will now appear in this list with the label Allow Full Access next to it.

Finally, close the McAfee Personal Firewall Plus window. Dabra is now ready to use.
