Installation Instructions

The information on this page will help you to install and activate your Dabra account. For more detailed instructions, please download the Dabra user guide for your version of Dabra and read the Installing Dabra section.

Your Activation Key

As part of the registration process you will have received an activation key. This key is only valid for the email address that it was sent to, so during the activation process make sure that you enter the appropriate email address.

Download Dabra

Click on the download link provided below to start the download process; if prompted click on the Run button when your browser asks for what you want to do with the downloaded file.

When the download is complete another window will pop up asking if you want to run the installation program. Click on the Run button.

Run the Installation Wizard

The installation wizard will guide you through the installation process. Simply follow the on-screen instructions.

Activate your Dabra Account

At the end of the installation process you will be prompted to activate your Dabra account. Activation validates the activation key that you received by email and sets up your secure environment.

(copy the activation key from the email that you received by selecting it with your mouse and pressing the Control and C keys together on your keyboard).

At the prompt, enter your email address and the activation key that you received from the Dabra Registrar. If you provided a password during registration you must also type it in on the activation screen.

To complete the activation step click the Activate button. Dabra will confirm that your activation was successful.

Microsoft Outlook Users
Please remember to close Outlook before clicking on the Activate button. If you experience problems after installation because you did not close Outlook please exit and restart Outlook to re-initialize Dabra.

Using Dabra

Now that you have Dabra installed all you have to do to read Dabra messages is double click on any file that ends with .dabra. When you do this Dabra will open the reader window and display the contents of the email.

If you use Microsoft Outlook and installed the Outlook plug-in, every Dabra email that you receive is automatically decrypted when you click on it in your Outlook Inbox.
